When you are away,
I seem to love you more.
Why do I not feel,
The same when you are close.

Does your presence drown my fears
And your absence, make way for tears.
How do I fail to see,
Just how much you mean to me.

I have you
And then I do not,
I’m tired of this game
But I can’t make it stop.

They prick me like thorns,
So small and yet so strong.
I feel all the pain,
And yet, I never fall.

When you are away,
Is when I feel it all
I can love you,
