THE LEAK

The silence grew wider; the moments rarer.
As the days began to feel common, our minds began to stray.

What was once cute, was now annoying.
What was once light teasing was now perceived as insults.
The small implicit gestures which were once given much importance were now ignored.
The efforts put in weren’t original anymore.
The truth, wasn’t respected anymore.

Our love was draining away, drop by drop, with neither of us plugging the leak.
