to open up your broken heart

to take a scary chance.

Despite what you knew,
You led with your fragile heart
It brought you to me,
But broke you further apart.

In this journey with me,
I gave you nothing.
But you lived with it,
Until you couldn’t.

I didn’t deserve your love
Your time, pain and tears,
Now I hold them so close to me
I can never let them disappear.

You took a chance on me,
An ignorant, immature me
Now that I feel your love,
There’s so much more I want you to see.
